The mission of The Charleston Animal Group (The Charleston Dog Shelter) is to give temporary shelter to stray, abandoned, or surrendered dogs while following their no-kill policy and finding them a lifetime, loving home with responsible owners.

Through intensive spay/neuter programs and educational opportunities, their overall goal is to reduce the number of unwanted dogs.

Care For Animals was founded in 1998 by four volunteers and has now grown to an organization with three employees and hundreds of volunteers who devote countless hours to its rescue/adoption and spay/neuter initiatives, as well as recruiting the essential financial support.

Paws & Claws is Madison County’s only no-kill shelter.

This is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, which means that, except for a minor charge paid by the City of Huntsville for dogs in city limits, P&C is entirely funded by donations from loyal, caring supporters.

DogsOnly is a non-profit all-volunteer organization in Little Rock, Central Arkansas, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire that specializes in the rescue and adoption of dogs and pups.

They also assist in the adoption of dogs for owners who are unable to maintain them and provide adoption support to stray dog rescuers.

DogsOnly primarily rescues from municipal shelters and provides out-of-shelter rehabilitation, quarantine, adoption, and transfer of dogs to rescues/humane societies in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Vermont, and New York.

Greener Days Ahead Rescue (Mt Vernon, AR)

Greener Days Ahead Rescue became an official 501(c)3 rescue on May 12th, 2015, after seven years of teaching other rescues and keeping our feet solid.

As space allows, this group accepts homeless, abandoned, and owner-surrendered animals.

They take pride in caring for the animals, but there are just a few available at any given time.

Before adoption, all animals are brought to a healthy state, properly vetted, spayed or neutered, put on heartworm medication, and microchipped at GDAR.

They are entirely reliant on public donations and private donations.
