Forgotten Friends of Long Island Animal Rescue (Plainview, NY)

Forgotten Friends of Long Island Animal Rescue Group, a 501(C)3 non-profit organization, believes that no animal should be unloved or unlovable, and we will not shy away from taking in aged, sick, or “difficult” dogs/cats.

Given that this may be the first time these animals have experienced full attention and respect in their lives, Forgotten Friends will provide them with medical care and rehabilitation.

Each animal gets vaccinated, gets veterinary care as needed, is heart-worm tested and started on heart-worm preventative, and is spayed and neutered.

FFLIAR is dedicated to companion animal rescue.

Little Shelter Animal Rescue & Adoption Center (Huntington, NY)

Little Shelter Animal Rescue and Adoption Center, located on six wooded acres in Huntington, Long Island, is a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter.

Since 1927, they have been dedicated to saving abandoned dogs and cats and placing them in loving forever homes.

Age, physical condition, and socialization concerns should never be considered when rescuing a dog or cat whose life is in danger.

LSAR seeks to address pet overpopulation and place all dogs and cats in loving forever homes through rescuing from death facilities, rehabilitating sick and unsocialized creatures, and implementing a 100% spay/neuter program.

The Town of North Hempstead Animal Shelter (Port Washington, NY)

The Shelter Connection is a non-profit organization run entirely by volunteers that collaborates with the personnel of the Town of North Hempstead Animal Shelter in Port Washington, New York.

Volunteers are professionally trained as adoption counselors and dog handlers, and their fundraising efforts benefit a variety of shelter development programs.

Bobbi and the Strays was founded in 1998 by Roberta “Bobbi” Giordano as a 100% non-profit, no-kill animal rescue organization.

Cove Animal Rescue (Glen Cove, NY)

Cove Animal Rescue is a non-profit organization that strives for a cage-free environment to help eliminate the fear and stress that make it difficult for an animal to be presented for adoption.
