  • San Francisco Animal Care and Control

    San Francsico Animal Care and Control is a taxpayer-funded, open-admission animal shelter. SFACC provides housing, care, and medical treatment to wild, exotic and domestic stray, lost, abandoned, sick, injured or surrendered animals regardless of species.

    They also enforce all state and local Animal Control & Welfare laws as well as the first responder for animals in natural disasters or citizen emergencies.

      The San Francisco SPCA is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of animals and people in the Bay Area.

      The SFSPCA provides animal care services for lost or homeless animals, spay/neuter services to reduce overpopulation, veterinary medical care for sick and injured pets; pet adoption programs; education about responsible dog ownership; and humane education.

      The SFSPCA was founded in 1868 and has since become the fourth oldest humane society in the United States.

      They are also one of the founders of the No-Kill movement. As a result of their efforts and partnerships with other organizations, San Francisco has the lowest euthanasia rate of any major city in the US.

      Family Dog Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit dog rescue organization founded in 2010 by Angela Padilla, a young mom battling breast cancer.

      They save over 1,000 dogs per year from certain euthanasia and place them with loving families.

      Family Dog Rescue has rescued thousands of dogs who otherwise would not have had the chance to find their forever home.
