Forgotten Friends of Long Island Animal Rescue

Forgotten Friends of Long Island Animal Rescue Group, a 501(C)3 non-profit organization, believes that no animal should be unloved or unlovable, and we will not shy away from taking in aged, sick, or “difficult” dogs/cats. Given that this may be the first time these animals have experienced full attention and respect in their lives, Forgotten Friends will provide them with medical care and rehabilitation. Each animal gets vaccinated, gets veterinary care as needed, is heart-worm tested and started on heart-worm preventative, and is spayed and neutered.

FFLIAR is dedicated to companion animal rescue. Many of them have been in municipal shelters for an extended period of time and overlooked by the general public.

Cove Animal Rescue

Cove Animal Rescue is a non-profit organization that strives for a cage-free environment to help eliminate the fear and stress that make it difficult for an animal to be presented for adoption.

This charity has enlarged the shelter by building a cage-free colony-like wing for the cats with windows, skylights, and cat entrances to a screened-in area, as well as wonderful outdoor play areas for the dogs.

The mission of Cove Animal Rescue is to enhance the adoptability of homeless dogs and cats through training, socialization, and improved conditions that promote the transfer to a home environment.
